About the band:
Bringing hot jazz to the people, The Hot Club of Duluth is a local band that is dedicated to the performance of music of the Golden Age of Jazz. They bless The Rathskeller with their presence every Tuesday night from 7:30-9:30pm with live Gatsby/1920s-30s jazz music. About the artist:
Kathryne Ford joins THCoD every Tuesday night down in The Rathskeller creating paintings during the performances of local Duluth musicians. Kat loves to explore the world around her through art and dabble in most mediums. The lens of an artist's eye can make even the darkest place a fascinating adventure. She comes from the shores of southern California and hopes to see new places and meet more wonderful people as this amazing life continues. About the venue:
The Rathskeller, ranked one of Minnesota's top whiskey bars, occupies a fabled place in Duluth's history. Located beneath the city street in the basement of Duluth's original 1889 City Hall, it was once a holding cell for the municipal court one floor above and it also served as a coal furnace room during the building's time as the center of city government from 1889-1926. Rumors abound that the space was once used as a speakeasy during prohibition and patrons have reported ghostly sightings inside the bar. The Rathskeller is located at 132 E Michigan St, Duluth, MN. Must be 21+ to enter.
